Just like your skin, leather needs to be cared for and moisturized, especially when exposed to harsh elements. It’s much simpler (and economical) to maintain your leather items than to repair them. When you drop off your next order, let us know if you would like to be notified via SMS txt message when your order is ready for pickup. Just leave your name and mobile number on a SMS/txt slip at the counter and request our “Notify by SMS” service. When your order is ready, we’ll send you a message. Spring Shoe Care

Spring is here and it’s almost time to store your winter boots and coats. Ensure the longevity of the life of your leather items by preparing them properly for storage.

The most common damage we see during the winter and spring seasons is salt and water stains. Salt can really take a toll on leather, suede and wool lined items. Not only do salt and water stains look bad, but they can permanently damage your leather, causing the discoloration, bubbling and cracks.

Not the Culprit You Thought

Salt stains on leather do not come from the salt on roads and sidewalks. This is actually salt that leaches out of the leather itself when the shoe, bag or coat gets wet. Salt is used in the curing process to prepare hides for the tanning process. When leather gets wet, the moisture draws the salt up to the surface. Cleaning the salt off the surface of the leather alone will not prevent long-term salt damage.

Bring your salt and water stained leather in today. Our leather repair experts will use a specially formulated salt remover to draw the salt out of the leather, clean and restore lost moisture by conditioning the leather or suede.
