I just came from Giovanni D’Italia shoe repair in Hoboken, NJ. I must share that I received AWESOME, friendly, and exceptional customer service from employees, the owner, and the manager! My family has been going to Giovanni shoe repair since I was a little girl, I remember going with my Mom and Dad and that it was always a friendly place to visit. Twenty years later I am so happy that the store is still there; with the quality work and excellent customer service that they provide, its no wonder that they have been in business so long. I will make many more visits to Giovannis. Thank you to the outstanding staff!

I got a great suggestion from a friend about Giovanni D’Italia shoe repair on Garden St. (and 7th). I’ve now taken to him several pairs of my shoes and my husbands shoes. Each time, they come back looking great. I had a pair of leather platform-like sandal that I thought were on their last legs. He was able to fix them and have it done in 2 days. I can’t tell you how many pairs of heels I have brought needing lifts that I lost somewhere on the streets of Hoboken or NYC. His prices are not too expensive (not cheap either), but I think you get what you pay for. So if you have a pair or two of shoes that you love, Giovanni will help you get a little more life out of them. He’s also open early and open late for those of us with busy work schedules!

I have gone to Giovanni’s several times when my shoes are in need of some tlc. He has fixed worn heels, scuffs and died shoes to match a dress. He is warm, courteous and knows what he is doing. Great place.

They are WONDERFUL!!! I took two pairs of my favorite shoes that I thought were bound for the trash. They replaced the soles, heels and shined them for CHEAP! My shoes lok like brand new, but feel worn in! I will be back with other shoes! I highly recommend these guys!

On my walk to work this morning I passed by your shop, expecting to see your German shepherd sleeping in the window as I have seen him so many times before over the past many years. I was saddened to see that he is gone. I stopped a few moments to reflect on the tribute to him that has taken his place in the window. I am very sorry for the loss of your friend. I will miss seeing him in the window.

We have a really wonderful puppy who is almost one year old. Somehow he got to one of Bob’s shoes and really did a job on the leather and lining. Bob thought the shoes were ruined. I suggested he bring them to Giovanni. Well he brought them home the other night and all I could think was “miracle” Happy (our pup) has done a job on a really good leather belt I have early on and I too brought it to Giovanni, and again there was a miracle performed. Happy had chewed on the strap of his car seat before he realized he liked it and guess who repaired that. You guys are the best and I make sure I tell everyone coming into Hoboken how great you are. Thanks for everything.
